Ask for the Nations

Day 6 – January 6
Genesis 32-33 / Matthew 6, Psalm 102
Do you struggle with anxiety?
Jesus dedicated a significant portion of His most famous message from the mount to address worry, anxiety, and concern. In one of His most crucial public addresses, He delved into the topic of how to deal with anxiety. Think about that!
He discusses living from the secret place, giving from a hidden place, and conversing with God from an intimate space. He imparts insights into how the Kingdom of Heaven operates and guides us on how to approach our Heavenly Father. He redefines the notion of blessing, challenging our perception of reality. And, He offers guidance on managing anxiety…
Matthew 6:34 (TPT)
“Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”
This isn’t a mere feel-good message or a seeker-sensitive half-truth. Jesus is dismantling the lie and confronting the strongholds and deceptions that grip our reality.
Anxiety steals from us.
Worry robs us of life.
Jesus came to destroy the devil’s work. He came to speak the truth. He came to reveal our loving Father and reconcile us with the One who loves us most and best.
Whatever is causing you distress, whatever is preventing you from fully embracing the present moment, it’s of no lasting consequence. Cast it aside!
Place your trust in Jesus. Rely on His perspective of reality. He is telling us the truth.
Matthew 6 (ESV)
25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
You are seen and you are loved. Give God your trust today. Breathe deep and trust. He’s got you.
