(Exodus 34-36, Matthew 23:1-22)

The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness…” (Exodus 34:6 ESV)

Oh, that the Lord would pass before us and proclaim His name and His character over out lives! He is wonderful. He is counselor! He is God almighty. He is the Prince of peace. He is the kindest, most gentle, most long-suffering One I have ever met. He is altogether good.

He’s the lover of our souls. He’s closer than a brother. He’s fire. He’s breath. He’s humble. He’s meek and lowly. He’s high and lifted up. He’s unlike any other. He stands alone. He’s the seeker. He’s the first and the last. He’s the beginning and the end. He’s omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

He’s never lied. He’s never turned away. He has never forsaken. He always fulfills His word. He loves even when we hated. He hovers. He waits. He pursues. He will not relent. He will not be deterred.

He loves. He loves you. Isn’t that good news?
