(Leviticus 20-21, Matthew 28:1-22)

You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my rules and do them, that the land where I am bringing you may not vomit you out. (Leviticus 20:22 ESV)

Today there are many controversies, and much confusion in the church, for how to stand in this hour. How should the church respond to today’s issues? How should the church stand in regard to the issue of abortion and homosexuality? What does it mean to walk in love today?

One of the errors in the church today comes because we have lost the foundational teachings of our faith. We cannot possibly navigate and apply the New Testament teachings of Jesus and the church, without understanding the roots of our faith.

The land itself cannot tolerate innocent bloodshed. The land itself is defiled by sexual impurity. While it may seem loving to turn away from such issues, or righteous to not speak against sinfulness… it is indeed a deception. Our message is Christ! If we will not act as priests and teach the difference between the holy and the profane, the land itself will vomit us out! If we will not cry out, the rocks themselves will cry out.

Abortion and homosexuality are nothing new. And lovingly, the Lord told us what the land can tolerate. Let’s believe Him in this. This warning is Good News, to those who can receive it. May we receive it!
