(Leviticus 10-12, Matthew 26:1-19)
When Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples, “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.” (Matthew 26:1-2 ESV)
Jesus was committed to His purpose. He came to give Himself up as a ransom. And knowing full well the time was at hand, He did not shrink back.
Our Jesus is fearless. He’s completely loyal to the plan of His Father. He has resolved to obey, and He does not bend. He never gets distracted. He never loses His focus. He lived His earthly life, and even still as He lives, He lives and moves with divine purpose.
Jesus is the best leader. And if you will give yourself to His leadership… if you will follow Him, He will lead you into purpose. Jesus will lead you into commitment.
Jesus did not spend one aimless moment. Even His wilderness season was ordained. The scriptures say that the Holy Spirit drove Jesus into the wilderness.
There is not aimlessness in the Kingdom. Jesus is a good leader. He’s faithful. Committed. Resolved. Follow Him, and your life will find real purpose. We have no time to live aimlessly.
