(Genesis 44-45, Matthew 14:1-24)

[16] But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” (Matthew 14:16 ESV)

Discipleship is not about following a formula of rules. Being a disciple of Jesus is about reworking every thought, every inclination of the heart, until it conforms to Jesus. We are learning to see what He sees, hear how He hears, think how He thinks and walk how He walks.

Our nature is rooted in selfishness. We are tied to the finite, the limits and boundaries of the natural. But our God is infinite, and His government is forever expanding. Our new life in Christ is instruction about how to live in the supernatural dimension of His Kingdom.

How do we access the reality of heaven? How do we enter in to the supernatural realm of Christ? Simple! Begin to pour yourself out. Give what you have. Break open your offering.   The act of pouring out our finite resources, opens the infinite storehouse of heaven. Teach the revelation that you have, God will release more. Give your limited time to help the needy, and God will provide for you.

Discipleship is not contained in rules. Discipleship is the process of Christ being formed within you. When needs surround you… pour yourself out. Do what you can, and God will do what you can’t!
