(1 Chronicles 6-7, John 8:21-36)
And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him. (John 8:29)
In all our learning, may we not forget fellowship. In all our spiritual acquiring, may we not disregard communion. In all our sacred disciplines, may we not overlook divine friendship!
The purpose of our Christianity is reconciliation for the sake of connection. Our God is relational! He loves us. And He wants us to know Him, even as He knows us. Jesus was a perfect man. He was perfectly reconciled, perfectly connected. He didn’t have communion; He lived in communion. He didn’t just go to prayer gatherings, rather He was the very temple of God.
Jesus has worked for us a complete salvation. He came to save us from sin, sickness and the devil… even death itself. The Good News is power! And it is better yet!! The Gospel is reconciliation. There is now no more separation. No more condemnation. We, who were far off, have now been brought close. We, who were not a people, have become the very priests of God.
Don’t ever believe the devil! He’s a liar through and through. The Gospel is power. The Gospel is now. Live into the perfection of Christ. Live to please the Lord. Live to bless the Lord. Live in the continual presence of God. There is no better place than with our God.
