A.W. Tozer wrote, “What you think about God is the most important thing about you.” I could not agree more. I would add, “What God thinks about you is, or will be, the most important thing to you.” We spend a lot of time considering our own thoughts toward the Lord. Is He good? Is He faithful? Is He trustworthy? (By the way, I have found all of the above questions to be answered with a “YES” and “AMEN.”)
These are good questions. And most certainly, God can stand up to our scrutiny. What you think about God is extremely important, but what He thinks about you will also prove to be important in your life. Are you faithful? Does God consider you trustworthy… with your breath, with your talents, with your thoughts and faculties? How does God assess you?
God can speak to us a new identity. He can lift us out of what others think about us, even redefine how we consider ourselves. He gives a new name! He declares Himself to us, and commands blessing over us. What He thinks matters. What He speaks matters. I dare you to make time to hear what He says concerning your life. You may just be surprised.
